Whisper White cardstock

Embellishments: Silver ribbon

Wishing everyone good health and prosperity for the New Year!

Merry Christmas!

I can't believe Christmas will be here in just three days. On Christmas Eve my husband and I will be attending the Christmas service with my daughter and her family. Christmas Day, my older daughter will be hosting Christmas dinner for our family and her husband's mom and dad. We always have a wonderful time. Of course, the highlight of the day will be watching our two year old granddaughter opening presents.

I have been behind on posting Christmas cards, so wanted to show you one of the many I have made.
Paper: DCWV Holiday Collection
Green Galore cardstock
Whisper White
Ink: Memory Black
Archival Sepia
Embellishments: Gold/Mother Pearl button
Holly and Ivy button
Paper Saffia ribbon
I sponged the image with sepia ink for a vintage look.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Inspiration and Design Challenge Blog

Michelle Perkett of Enchanted Inspirations has started a new challenge blog. Today we are having a Holiday Blog Hop. Each member of Michelle's Design Team was asked to create a project using her "Christmas Wishing Star Angel".
Here are the details for my card:
Paper: Whisper White cardbase
DCWV Holiday Collection Paper
Embellishments: Darice Ribbon Poinsettias
Stampendous Diamond Dots
Red/White Stitched Ribbon by Big Lots Dist.
Permanent Gold Metallic Marker
Watercolor pencils/blender pen
Michelle also asked us to share a Christmas wish that we had for a friend, family member etc. My Christmas wish is for a young mom who attends my card technique classes at our local library. At the end of October, mom, who is expecting her second child in January was rushed to the hospital in respiratory failure. The doctors weren't sure she would make it through the weekend. She was put on a respirator and the hope was that she would be breathing on her own by Thanksgiving. Thanks to the many prayers of family, friends, local churches etc. she made a miraculous recovery and was able to go home the week before Thanksgiving. My wish is to give her a basket of stamping supplies so that she and her mom can make cards while she recooperates.
If you arrived here from Brandi's blog, you are on the right track. From here you will visit Tammy's blog and somewhere in her post you will find the next stop on the hop.
Please check out Michelle Perkett's Inspiration and Design Challenge Blog, join in on the blog hop and vote for your favorite card and Christmas wish. There are 3 design teams and each week one of these teams will sponsor the challenge. Stop by often and join us on this new adventure.
