Debut Tips, Techniques & Tutorials

Today on the Sisterhood blog, Kim has challenged us to make something using a stamp, punches or diecut for something other than  for what  the tool was intended to be used. I chose to make a bookmark using my scalloped circle punches and a Marvy flower punch. The template for the bookmark came from June at the Stamp Pad in Zoar. Why not hop on over to the Sisterhood and give this challenge a try?

The bookmark is 2" by 11" folded in half. I used a 2", 1 3/4", and 1 1/2" punches to cut the circles. Then I cut the circles apart, using two scallops for each petal. Glue dots were used to hold the petals together. The center is flower using the Marvy flower punch and a flower gem. The Marvy flower punch was also used to create the flowers running down the bookmark. Gems were used for the center of each little flower. Thanks for stopping by today. Now hop on over to the Sisterhood and leave a little love for all the sistahs.
