Lotus Blossom Stamp Set

I was so excited to use my new Stampin' Up "Lotus Blossom" stamp set on this card. The background was made using my Memory Box "Texture Tessatina" stencil and Tim Holtz distressed inks "Tattered Rose" and "Antique Linen". After taping my stencil and paper down to a silicone craft sheet, I used a dauber to add the Antique Linen ink and then used another dauber to layer "Tattered Rose" ink over top. Next, I stamped the lotus blossom onto white cardstock with the Stampin' Up Red Rose marker. The stem was stamped with Close to My Heart Olive Green and and Garden Green. The background panel and the image panel were layered onto black mats. Holiday Green ribbon by Darice was tied around the image to add a little depth.

I love this stamp set and will be using it quite often. I also purchased Stampin' Up's "Petal Potpourri" bundle and hope to use it soon. First I have to make Valentine cards to send to my grandchildren.

Thank you for visiting with me today.
