Pot of Tea

This is my first attempt making a Triangle Trifold card. I used Stampin' Up's Blue Brocade card stock for the base and had a little trouble getting the folds to line up right. (The card stock may have been a little heavy.) But I am pleased with the end result. I found the instructions here:

The image is one of many that I found on Pinterest. I think the colors in this image work well with the colors of my base card stock and SU designer paper. I used SU's Olive Green and Blue Brocade to mat the image that was printed on Ivory card stock.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment and the spoon from my new set of Fun Journey Stamps "Tea Time" with Black Licorice ink from the same company. To close the card I tied a bow with Ivory sating ribbon.

Since the finished size of the card is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", I will have to make an envelope for mailing. I may try changing the dimensions for a larger card.

I made this card late last night after celebrating my husband's birthday. Since I spent the morning having a stress test and ultrasound of the carotid arteries, we got a late start on his birthday celebration. We went out lunch and stopped for ice cream on the way home. Then part of the evening was spent at our younger daughter's house.

Off to work on some more projects. Thanks for visiting with me today.

Hugs,
Terri
