One For The Money

Wasn't able to spend a lot of time crafting yesterday. My hubby was off and we had to go grocery shopping, then fix our back yard fence before our german shepherd/lab mix could get out again. Thankfully, I was in the front yard when I saw her come out from behind the bushes and kept her from running out into the street. She is usually pretty good about staying in the yard, but if someone walks down the street she gives chase.

So I have a quick project to share with you today. Some of my craft show customers have asked about money holders, so I got out all my materials and came up with a fairly simple pattern. Of course, I didn't think about making a template first, so when I have one finished it I will share it with you

I started with a piece of Recollections Aqua card stock 8 1/2" x 11" and cut  in half at 4 1/4". You will get two wallets from one piece of card stock. Then I scored on the 11" side at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4". Then turned and scored the 4 1/4" side at 1 1/2".

Next you will need to cut the 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" tab off to make the flap for closing. Cut 2 strips of designer paper 2 3/4" x 4" to cover the back panels of the wallet. Cut one 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" strip of designer paper for the flap and 2 strips of designer paper 1 1/4" x 4" for the inside panels. Use red line tape to adhere ends of pocket to back of wallet. (Just one piece at each end of the pocket.)

I had these cute flower stickers that matched my paper perfectly. The flower sticker was adhered to a pansy petal punched with my SU punch and used a dimentional dot adhere to the wallet flap. A velcro dot holds the flap closed.

That's all there is to it. Will work on getting a template made today and try to have it posted tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day everyone.

Hugs,
Terri
