Christmas Caroling

A new challenge begins today at the Sisterhood of Crafters with Darlene as our host. Get out those thinking caps and create a project around the theme "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas".

The first thing I do after Thanksgiving is get out my Christmas cd's to play while I am decorating or baking cookies. So I decided to use this cute image of Christmas Carolers as my focus.

I started with a base of white card stock, then added designer paper by DCWV. Next I cut the Madison Window, Window Box and Shutters from Poppystamps. The image was cut down to fit inside the window frame. Then I added the shutters and window box. Before adhering the window box, I cut a border of roses and holly leaves (K and Company) and adhered to the back of the window box.  Once the window box was in place I added this satin bow with pearl center. The holly spray at the top of the window is also K and Company. I fussy cut the snow from white card stock and added the pine trees. The sentiment was stamped with SU's Garden Green ink using a Stampabilities stamp.

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Creative Moments - Always Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Not Just Cards - Anything Goes

Working on this card made me realize how close we are getting to Christmas. I try to get my house decorated the first weekend of Christmas, so I can focus on baking and gift wrapping. Try to have my shopping done by Thanksgiving to avoid the holiday rush. That's the easy part because I only have to shop for 4 adults and 4 granddchildren.

I always look forward to spending Christmas Eve with my youngest daughter and granddaughter, then Christmas Day with my older daughter, son-law, their 3 children and my son-in-law's parents. Hoping my younger daughter will join us this year. Everyone brings side dish or dessert to share and my daughter bakes a ham. It is such a blessing to spend this time with them. Good food and good company. The best gift I could get.

Now, why not head on over to the Sisterhood to check out the awesome inspiration projects from my sistahs and enter your creation?

Happy Crafting!

Hugs,
Terri
