Snowmen Tea Lights

It's a beautiful day here in Northeast Ohio. Temps in the low 60's and lots of sun. Yesterday I began working on my version of the snowmen tea lights. They are so easy and quick to make. I found tea lights that change colors and decided they would make cute pins.

The face is a 1 3/8" circle with an "x" cut in the center to fit over the candle. I used red sticky strip to hold the face to the votive. I drew the mouth with a permanent marker and added pink to the cheeks with a colored pencil. Black pearls were used for the eyes. Next I cut 1 3/4" circles from designer paper and cut them in half for the hat. The window word punch created the bottom of the hat and 1/2" circle made the pop pom. Last I added a bow made from 5/8" burgandy organza ribbon. Now I just need to add the pin backs. These will be gifts for ladies in both my stamp group and euchre card clubs.

My husband thought they would be too big for pins, but I tried one and I think they are perfect. I chose not to use Christmas colors so they will go through the winter. I have lots of ideas for gifts, so I better get busy.  Only 38 days left till Christmas and my first Christmas party is December 5th.

Guess I'd better start cookie baking and decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Thankfully, my Christmas shopping is done - just have to wrap everything and get my Christmas cards ready. I mail very few, most are handed out.

Well, off to get lunch and work on more projects. Have a beautiful day.

Hugs,
Terri
