Squash It!

When I found the tutorial for this card on Pinterest, I just knew I had to give it a try. Just three simple folds and it's ready to decorate. The tutorial by Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek can be found here: It takes an 8 1/2" square of card stock. The designer paper is cut into 4 sqares measuring 4" each.

The base card was created using Stampin' Up's Thyme card stock. Designer paper by DCWV creates the inside and outside panels. I used Ivory card stock to create the sentiment panel and the image mats on the front. The butterfly die cut stickers are K & Company. The burlap flowers are from the Forever in Time Collection. I used a sentiment from Stampin' Up's (2006) "In My Thoughts" stamp set and stamped with black India ink. The green satin ribbon was added to the front of the card before adhering the image panel.

I hope you will give this card a try. It is really easy to make and fits into a regular size envelope. This year I want to try different fancy fold cards. I have always been a little intimidated by them. Now it's just a matter of building up my courage and stepping out of my comfort zone.

I also have a few new techniques that I want to try. I love the look of the alcohol inks and hand sanitizer backgrounds and I want to try making my own enamel dots.

Thank you for visiting with me today. Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Terri
