Stained Glass Butterfly

Welcome to Day Three of the Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Kit. For this card I chose the butterfly stamp for my focus. Once again the image was colored with my prisma color pencils.

The base card was made using FSJ's Sweet Berry card stock. To created the background I used a refill bottle and Sweet Berry ink pad to stamp circles randomly over the Whip Cream card stock. Using just one corner of the stamp pad I added streaks of color.  The black/white strip was adhered to the background panel with tape runner. The black thread was loosely wrapped and also adhered to the black/white strip with tape runner.  Next I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Whip Cream and added it by overlapping onto the bottom of black/white strip. A short piece of black satin ribbon was wrapped around and adhered to the back of the white panel. Then I wrapped a larger piece of black satin ribbon around the panel and tied it in a bow on the left side. A pop dot was added to the back of the bow, so I could attach the card pin and butterfly. Pop dots were added to the butterfly after sliding it into the card pin to give the butterfly some dimension.

I love working with these gorgeous colors from Fun Stampers Journey. Richard Garay, the founder of the company, always shares some amazing techniques with us. He will be coming to Ohio in the fall to the Scrapbook Expo to demo some of his products. I am already making plans to be there.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting today. I have one more card from this kit to share with you tomorrow. Until then, have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Terri
