Hello, everyone! Sorry I have been gone so long. I had a few minor health issues, but I am now back into the swing of things.
I am so excited to be the hostess for the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters. Our theme for this challenge is "Summertime". May was a very cold and wet month here in Northeast Ohio. Temperatures ranged from mid 30's to mid 50's most days accompanied by rain showers almost every day. Thankfully, the warm weather has finally reached us and I can hardly wait to have a picnic.
As you can see by the title of this post, the theme of my card is Picnic. I found these cute images on Pinterest. Isn't that the cutest little ant? I fussy cut his leg from black card stock. Oops! Just realized I forgot his antennae. Poor little guy, I will definitely have to fix that.
I started with a white card base and added this pretty red and white qingham designer paper by Recollections from Michaels. I made the sentiment panel on my computer and matted it with black card stock. I found the black with white dot grosgrain ribbon at a craft store that is now out of business. It was my favorite places to buy ribbon because I could get spools of ribbon measure 15 yds. -25 yds. and it wasn't very expensive. I may have to look on line to see if I can find anything similar.
That's all I have for today. You have until 7pm (est), Sunday, June 19th to enter your creations. Why not stop by the Sisterhood and check out the design team's inspiration?
If you have a chance stop by the Crafting With An Attitude challenge blog for another fun challenge.
Until next time,
