Bee Happy

Once again it is my turn to host the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge. My theme is "The Letter B". You may use anything that starts with the letter "B" as your focus. For example: branch, butterfly, birds, bees, bench, etc.

I just love this set of stamps (#JB0842) by Jillibean Soup. The set has 4 sentiments, 5 bugs and 5 hearts.

Using my Darice "Honeycomb" folder, I embossed the front of the white cardstock base and then sponged with Fun Stampers Journey "Pineapple Smoothie" ink to get the honecomb effect. Next I adhered the honeycomb image found on Pinterest to the card front with pop dots. next I stamped the bee three times with Fun Stampers Journey "Black Licorice" ink and fussy cut around them. Again using pop dots to adhere to them card and honeycomb. The bees were colored with a Marvy yellow marker. After stamping the sentiment I fussy cut around it, then adhered to a strip of black card stock and fussy cut again for the mat. This is also adhered with pop dots.

Prima flowers were used to embellish the bottom right corner and the soft burlap ribbon was wrapped around the card front and tied in a knot.

Doesn't that bee have the cutest little face? I will definitely have to come up with some more ideas for this stamp set. The sentiments include "Love Bug", "Happy Bug Day" and "Bugs And Kisses". Perfect for Valentine's Day or birthdays.

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Enjoy the Journey

Diane is our hostess for the new challenge beginning today at the Sisterhood of Crafters. The theme for this challenge is "Stamp It". Please use a stamped image, no digital images this time.

While away on my Women's Craft Retreat in March I came up with this idea.
First I applied the gramophone designer paper for the background them added a white doily. The images and sentiment are from a stamp set by Tim Holtz, stamped in black ink. After fussy cutting around the car and schedule panels, I used pop dots to apply to the doily. The sentiment was stamped on white card stock, then matted with a strip of black. Last, I added this beautiful black/white ribbon.

I thought I might use this as a retirement card for some deserving fellow. What do you think?

For more inspiration, head on over to the Sisterhood for projects by my sistahs. We would love to see your creations.

You have until 8pm, Sunday April 24th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Hugs,
Terri

Blessing the Flowers

Hello everyone! First I want to thank everyone who participated in  our last challenge. Once again you shared amazing projects with us.

I am excited to tell you about the new challenge beginning today at Crafting With An Attitude.

Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day For Daisies with a prize of 3 digital images.

For my project I chose the beautiful "Blessing the Flowers" image. I used Spectrum Noire pencils to color the image then fussy cut around it. I chose SU's Sky Blue card stock to make the top and bottom borders with my scalloped Fiskars punch and adhered to a background panel by DCWV. Last I added the paper and ribbon flowers and butterfly to the corners.
No automatic alt text available.

My design team has been busy creating some gorgeous inspiration projects to share with you. So why not hop on over to the Crafting With An Attitude Blog and join in the fun.

You have until 8 pm Sunday April 30th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.  Have fun.

Happy Crafting!

Flower Umbrella

Today is the first challenge of my new challenge blog "The Stinkin' Inkers". This is a month long challenge and the theme is "Showers of Flowers"

Here is my creation:

First I used light blue card stock to create the sky, then added a strip of designer paper to make the ground behind the fence.

The fence as created with my Memory Box fence die and adhered with clear glue.

I created the umbrella by die cutting a circle with my Big Shot and one of my Nestibilities circle dies. Once I had the circle I cut it in half, then folded it in half and then in half again and cut a semi-circle in the bottom. I attached the umbrella by using a glue runner to add adhesive to both sides. Next I added a 1/8th inch by 3" strip to create the handle of the umbrella and added a bow to the top.

The paper flowers (purchased at Michael's) were adhered with glue dots. Then I added the sentiment from Fun Stampers Journey "Wonderful Day" stamp set.

Check out The Stinkin' Inkers Challenge Blog for rules and to see the Design Team's fabulous projects.

You have until 8pm Friday April 28th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person. Winners will be announced Monday, May 1st.

Thanks for visiting with me today. Hope to see your project on the challenge blog.

Hugs,
Terri
