Owl Tote

Time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters. Our hostess, Vickie, has chosen "Anything Goes" as her theme.

I love to make 3d items for gifts, so I started up my Silhouette Cameo and started looking for designs. This little owl tote caught my eye.
I changed the eyes by using my Stampin' Up blossoms punch to create the colored part of the eye that is adhered to a 1" circle and my 1/4" punch for the pupils.  It is hard to tell from the picture, but the ribbon is light pink and medium pink checkered pattern.

It took me awhile to remember how to ungroup the images, but once I figured that out, it was just a matter of choosing the papers I wanted to use for the breast feathers. A very quick and easy project to put together.

This is a nice sized tote, so I think I will put Halloween candy and surprises in it for my granddaughter that I babysit every day. I know she will love it.

Okay, time for you to check out the inspiration projects of my 'sistahs' at the Sisterhood and enter your creations.

Have a great day!

Hugs,

Thanks a Bushel

Hello everyone. There is a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters hosted by Darlene. Her theme is "Harvest Hoe-down".

Fall is my favorite time of year. Beautiful bright reds, oranges, yellows and greens are seen everywhere. I stopping at farm markets for all the harvest bounty.

For the focus of my card I chose this beautiful basket of apples that I found on Pinterest.
I pasted the image into a Publisher document, added the sentiment to the center band and made 2 copies. I fussy cut around the basket on the first copy, then fussy cut around the top of the basket and 2 of the apples on the second copy.

Using a tan card stock as my base, I then added a red holographic panel, then adhered the apple print panel with a glue runner. The basket was adhered to this panel, then I added the rim of the basket and the two apples using pop dots to give dimension.

I am trying to decide if I should add burlap ribbon or twine to the left side? What do you think?

Now it is your turn. Head on over to the Sisterhood to see the gorgeous inspiration projects by my 'sistahs', then enter your creation for a chance to be our top winner.

Happy Crafting!
Terri

Girl With A Book

It's time for a new challenge at Crafting With An Attitude. The kids are heading back to school the end of this month here in Ohio, so for today's project I chose this cute image by Lemon Shortbread.

I started with a white card stock base and added this beautiful flowered designer paper from DCWV. Next I layered a piece of black card stock onto the green and adhered this to the base. After coloring the image with my Spectrum Noire colored pencils, I fussy cut around the image and used pop dots to add dimension. The paper flowers are from Michael's and were adhered to the bottom of the card with glue dots.

Well, that's my project for today. Why not head on over to Crafting With An Attitude and enter your project into this challenge? While there be sure to check out the inspiration projects by my talented Design Team.

The challenge ends 7pm, Sunday August 27th and winners will be announced Wednesday, September 6th.

Have fun and Good Luck!

Terri
