Flyin' High

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by for a visit. The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters begins today and Darlene is our hostess. The theme is:

"Something you might see in the sky"

I always loved to take my girls to the park and fly kites. It was great seeing other families out flying their bright colored kites. Unfortunately, that seems to be a long lost activity.

I decided to try my hand at creating a kite. First, I cut the diamond shape and colored with Marvy markers.
I found this paper in my stash and that gave me the idea to create the kite. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I purchased it.

Once I created the kite I added black cord and knotted gingham ribbon to create the tail and adhered it to the background with pop dots. Then I added the red gingham bow.

I used the fancy label punch to create the sentiment panel and stamped the sentiment in black ink.

The sistahs would love to see your creations, so why not head on over to the Sisterhood and check out the inpiration projects, then enter for your chance to win.

Have a great day and as always, Happy Crafting!

  1. LOVE your kite Terri! What a great idea! And the ribbons on the kite string are perfect! Brought back many happy memories of kite flying with my sisters.

  2. What wonderfully cheerful & colourful card you created for this theme! I love it! Have a great weekend. Hugs, Gwendolyn
