In the Red

Hello everyone! Today it is my turn to host the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge. Unfortunately, my husband broke his kneecap into 3 pieces so I have been spending a lot of time between the hospital, Community Care and home. The good news is that after a month, he will finally be coming home tomorrow. He still has a lot of therapy ahead of him, but at least he will be home.

I want to thank Darlene for writing the post for the challenge this month. She stepped in helped to get me caught up.

Now for my project.

The image is from Lemon Shortbread and is called "Christmas Package". I thought it would make a nice birthday card for winter.  Doesn't she look cute all dressed up in her warm coat and hat? The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, the green designer paper is by DCWV and the Flower designer paper is from a Recollections paper pad. The paper flowers were purchased at Michaels. I used Memories Black ink to stamp the sentiment punched it out with my Fancy Label punch.

So Many Books

It is my turn to showcase my Inspiration project for the LeAnn's World 101 challenge.

I chose the image "Bookworm" found here in LeAnn's Shop. 

The image was colored with prismacolor pencils and matted with pink card stock. The designer paper is printed with green and pink roses. The paper flowers are from Michael's. Just a simple card today. Hope you like it.

Sweet Cameo

Hello again! A new challenge begins today at Crafting With An Attitude.

For my project I chose this beautiful image called "Cameo 18" by Morgan's Artworld who is our sponsor this month. The challenges are always "Anything Goes" and this is a month long challenge.

The front of the base card was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called "Heather's Lace" purchased at Joann's Craft Store. After coloring the image and fussy cutting, I added a white doily to the card front and then used pop dots to add dimension to the image. The paper flowers were purchased at Michaels and adhered with glue dots. Last I used Stampin' Up's "Perfect Plum" ink to stamp the sentiment onto white card stock and punched it out with my EK Success lable punch.

You're the Best

Today I have a project to share with you that was created for the challenge at LeAnn's World 101.

Since Valentine's Day is just a couple of weeks away, I chose this sweet image of this sweet couple celebrating their love. The image is called Cody and Manda Love and can be found here.

I started with a base card of light pink and added a layer of geometric designer paper with blue, pink and yellow shapes. After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils, I added a mat of light lavender and adhered it to the front of the card. Next I stamped the sentiment with Fun Stamper Journey "Grape Fusion" ink onto a strip of white card stock and added a mat of light lavender. The edges of this panel were run across the purple ink pad for contrast. Last I added the violet purple satin ribbon tied in a knot.
