After a long cold winter, I am ready for Spring. So, as hostess for this week's challenge at the Sisterhood, I am asking everyone to create a project using something to do with rain as your focal image (rain, rainbow, rain boots, umbrella, etc.). The photo and sentiment for my card were found on Pinterest. Isn't that little boy just the cutest? Reminds me of my childhood. I loved to go out in a nice, slow, warm rain and splash in the puddles. (I also liked making mud pies after the rain stopped.)
Now for my creation and the details.
I started with gray cardstock as the base of my card and embellished it with Darice "Dots" embossing folder. Using my Nestibilities scalloped oval dies, I created the mats from black and lime green card stock, them used the smallest die to cut my image. The sentiment was cut using my Nestibilities Labels Six die and sponged black India ink around the edge to create a rain cloud. To create raindrops, I used crystal gems and added black satin ribbon for the finishing touch.
I have entered this card into the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Mema's Challenge - Anything Goes
I am anxious to see your creations, so head on over to the Sisterhood for some inspiration, then join in on the fun. You just might be one of the Top Award Winners.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
Terri
