Bloomin' Flowers

Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well on this beautiful August day. The Sisterhood has a new challenge starting today and Gwendolyn is our hostess.
The theme of this challenge is:
"Bloomin' Flowers"
For my project, I used a set of 3D Decoupage Flowers. I love the dimension achieved once all the pieces are in place.
Starting with a white card stock base, I added a piece of DCWV pink floral patterned paper. Next I added a piece of SU's Certain Celery card stock as a mat for the flower panel. Last I added this beautiful pink satin ribbon tied in a bow. I left off the sentiment because I am not sure how I will use this card. It could be used for Thank You, Thinking of You, Birthday, etc.

I hope you like my project for today. Now why not hop on over to the Sisterhood and check out the inspiration projects by my sistah's and enter your own creation?

Have a wonderful day,
Terri

Printed Page

This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters is hosted by Vickie. The theme for this challenge is:
"Printed Page Background"
The background for my card is a piece of card stock from DCWV that fits the theme perfectly.

Before adhering the printed panel to a white card stock base, I used a sponge to add gray ink to the panel. Then I stamped the flower silhouette in gray on a white square of card stock and added 3 black gems. This panel was matted with a square black panel. The sentiment panel was created in the same way. Black organdy ribbon was added to the image panel, then adhered to the base with pop dots for dimension. The sentiment panel was also adhered with pop dots. Last I added black satin ribbon to the side.

I really enjoyed creating a project for this theme. Black and white is one of my favorite color combinations.

Now it is your turn. Hop on over to the Sisterhood. check out the inspiration projects created by my sistah's and enter your creation for a chance to be our Top Winner.

Have a great day!
Terri

Steamed Heat

A new challenge has begun a the Stinkin' Inkers and the theme is:
"Steamed Heat"
Create a card or project using an image that reminds you of summer.
I love anything vintage and retro, so when I found this image on Pinterest I knew it would be perfect for this theme. The printed background reminded me of sand dollars found at the beach and was adhered to a white card stock base. I cut the doily in half and attached it to the back of the card, then adhered the panel to the designer paper. After stamping the sentiment in black ink onto a strip of white card stock I fussy cut around it. I attached the sentiment panel to a strip of kraft paper and fussy cut again. I used pop dots to give the panel dimension. Next I added the white ribbon tied a knot. Last I stamped the sea star and sea shell with light brown ink, attached to the card with pop dots and added a pearl center.

This is where I would like to be right now. Sitting beside the sea, reading a book, with an ice cold drink.

Okay, now it's your turn. Head on over to the Stinkin' Inkers challenge blog, check out the fabulous inspiration projects by my team and enter your creations for a chance to be our top winner.

Limit of 3 entries per person please.

Hugs,
Terri
