Festival of Trees

Hi everyone! Today begins the last challenge of the year at the Sisterhood of Crafters with Agata as our hostess. The theme for this challenge is "ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS".

Stampin' Up's "Festival of Trees" has always been one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets. It can be used in so many different ways to create beautiful, fun projects.

I added a piece of plaid DCWV designer paper to the front of a white card stock base. I used my SU tree punch to create the trees from DCWV paper and adhered them to the front of the card with pop dots. Then I stamped the sentiment with FSJ Limeade Splash on a strip of white card stock  and layered that onto a strip of green card stock. Last I added the three gems to the upper right hand corner.

The designer papers give the feeling of being in a cabin in the woods at Christmas. It would be so peaceful sitting by a fire and watching the snow fall.

Well, that's my project for today. Now it's your turn to enter your creation into the challenge. Head on over to the Sisterhood for more inspiration from my sistahs.

Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting!
Terri

Reindeer Crossing

It's time to announce a new challenge at the Stinkin' Inkers. The theme for this month is Celebrate the Holidays.

Do you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa or Chinese New Year, etc? Use the holiday you celebrate at this time of year as the focus of your project.

I decided to create a card that looked a little more masculine. Plus I know all the kiddies are excited for Santa and his reindeer's visit.
To create the reindeer, I used my Crafter's Companion Diamond Press and dies.
Then I added DCWV designer paper to the bottom of a white card stock base. The reindeer were adhered with glue runner. Next I stamped the sentiment and holly leaves with Limeade Splash and added gems for the berries. Last I wrapped the red and white twine around the card three times and tied into a knot.

I am very pleased with the way my card turned out.

Why not head on over to the Stinkin' Inkers challenge blog and enter your own creation? My design team has created some beautiful inspiration projects to share with you.

Remember you have until 7pm, Friday December 29th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person. This month we have an added surprise - we are being sponsored by StickerYou and the prize is a $30 gift certificate.

Merry Christmas!
Terri
