Enjoy the Simple Things

Vickie is our hostess for the next challenge beginning today at the Sisterhood of Crafters. The theme is "It's All Black and White". Your challenge is to create a projects using the black and white color combo.

I chose this cute silhouette image of children swinging for my focus. That was one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Even now I wish I had a porch swing. It was always so relaxing.
I used one of my Cuttlebug folders to emboss the card front. (Sorry, I forgot to write down the name of the folder.) Next I used my Nestibilities dies to cut the image panel and mat. After fussy cutting around the sentiment, I adhered that panel to a piece of black card stock and fussy cut that also. Last I added the black and white gingham ribbon. I just love the clean look of this color combo.

This card has been entered in the following challenges:
  Making Memories - Anything Goes
 Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes

Well, that's my project for today. Now head on over to the Sisterhood to take a look at my sistah's inspiration projects and play along.

Have a great day!
Hugs,
Terri

Beautiful Camellia

I am a little late posting my project for the Stinkin' Inkers May challenge. It has been very busy here. My younger daughter started a new job and now I have my granddaughter every morning until she gets the school bus at 12:30pm. Then I pick her up after school and have her until 5:15 or 7:15pm.

But enough of my news, now for my project. I found some beautiful 3D flower sheets and paper pads by Anna Griffin on sale at Joann's. They were perfect for this challenge.
I think the background paper and the Camellia flowers matched perfectly. This was such a quick and easy card to put together. I have been trying to decide if I should add ribbon. What do you think?

I didn't add a sentiment because I haven't decided what occasion I will use this card for. It would be great for Mother's Day, Get Well, Birthday or Thinking of You.

Now that you have seen my project, why not head on over to the Stinkin' Inkers and enter the challenge. My design team has some wonderful inspiration projects to share with you. You have until 7pm, Friday May 26th to enter.

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

Hugs,
Terri

Hello Beautiful

Our hostess for today's challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters is Darlene. The challenge is to create an encouragement card.

I love sending and getting cards that just brighten up the day. When I received my Bloom Box from Fun Stampers Journey, I knew it would be perfect for my creation.

I chose this feather covered designer paper for the background, then matted the image with a piece of tan wood designed paper. Once I had stamped the butterfly and flowers I added the sentiment with brown ink. Last I layered the pink organdy ribbon onto the white organdy ribbon and tied in a bow.

I will definitely be using this stamp set more often. This set could be used for so many different occasions, such as: birthday, sympathy, and mother's day.

I have entered this card in the following challenges.

Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Deep Ocean Challenge - Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread - Anything Goes

So glad you stopped by today. Hope to see your creations on the new challenge blog.

Hugs,
Terri

Fancy Sunbonnet Flowers

Today begins a new challenge at Crafting With An Attitude. For my project I chose this cute image of a little sunbonnet girl holding a pot of flowers from Bugaboo Stamps, our sponsor. The Top Winner of this challenge will receive e images from Bugaboo.

I used my Spectrum Noire colored pencils to color the image. I love the rich colors they give my images. Using my Nestibilities scalloped circles I cut out the image and the mat. Next I stamped the sentiment with Fun Stampers Journey "Grape Fusion" ink and matted with a strip of violet card stock to match the mat around the image. The butterfly is from the floral department at Pat Catan's. On the inside I added a sentiment and 2 butterflies stamped with the "Grape Fusion" ink.

Are you up to the challenge? Hurry on over to Crafting With An Attitude and enter your project. Don't forget to check out my Design Teams gorgeous inspiration projects. Remember this is a month long challenge and is always "Anything Goes". Have fun and hope to see you there.

Hugs,
Terri
