Butterfly and Lace

The theme for the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge this week is: "Lace" and hosted by Anna.

I found an embellishment pack from K and Company that I have had for quite awhile and decided to use one of the background panels for this card.
Using red line tape, I added lace strips to a white card stock base, then added the K and Company die cut panel. Next I adhered the K and Company flower and butterfly. I cut 2 squares 2" x 2" and cut them in half to create the corner pieces, then added pearls.

I don't often use lace on my cards, so this was definitely a challenge for me. The next time I am at the craft store, I want to look for different colors, sizes and styles of lace.

I have entered this card into the following challenges
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn to show us your creativity. My sistahs have some gorgeous inspiration projects to share with you, so why not head on over to the Sisterhood and enter the challenge? You have until 8pm (est), Sunday April 9th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Happy Crafting!

To Celebrate You

Today we begin a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters with Agata as our hostess and  the theme is "Celebrate Women".

I was able to spend some time with my friend, Darlene, a couple of weeks ago gave me the opportunity to go through her Crafty Secrets collection and I chose this image of a vintage lady and cake. Who doesn't like to celebrate with cake?
She also shared a banner die and this beautiful Tutti Designs Shoe die. Isn't it gorgeous? Once I had these  pieces, my card came together rather quickly. I decide to use yellow for the banner and create a mat for the image to bring out the color of the mixer.  Then is glued on yellow an pink sequins for the centers of the flowers on the shoe. Last I added a paper daisy and my sentiment (Stampendous - Bouquet For You stamps).

I need to schedule another play date with Darlene to keep my mojo going. That and to use some of her other fabulous dies. I could spend the whole day just making die cuts. So many dieSu and too little time!

Well, I hope you like my project for today. Now head on over to the Sisterhood and check out the gorgeous inspiration projects by my sistah's and enter the challenge.

You have until 8pm Sunday, March 12th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Have a wonderful day.

Pink Paisley Onesie

My friend, Judy, is having a baby shower for her older daughter on March 12th. I have had instructions for creating a onesie baby card for quite awhile, but forgot about it. So over the weekend while trying to decide on the card I wanted to create, I found it.

The designer paper is from Paper Boutique's "Baby Girl" pad. I used my Fiskars Scallop punch to created the lace on the sleeves and my 1 1/2" SU scalloped punch to create the lace around the neck and leg openings. The white bow has a pearl in the center and has been in my stash forever. The sentiment on the inside of the card reads: "a baby is a wee bit of heaven, drifted down from above,
a handful of happiness, a heart full of love."

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of this precious little girl. Judy's daughter was told she would never be able to have children, so this baby is extra special. A true gift from God.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me. Have a blessed day.

Hugs,

Eleanorkin Troll & Pickles

It's my pleasure to announce the new challenge beginning today at Crafting With An Attitude. Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day For Daisies. The winner of this month-long challenge will receive 3 digi images of their choice.

I chose this adorable troll and frog image to use as my focal point. The background photo is was found on Pinterest.
I started with a piece of white card stock 7" by 10" folded in half to create a 5" x 7" card. the background paper is from DCWV. The image was colored with Spectrum Noire colored pencils. The photo panel was adhered using tape runner and after fussy cutting around the image I used pop dots to give it dimension. I found this daisy die cut in my stash. I have had it for so long, I don't remember what company I got it from. ( Maybe Jolie's?) The butterfly was cut from a piece of DCWV's Mariposa card stock and adhered with a pop dot.

Can't wait till Spring gets here. I am ready for warm temperatures and sunny days. It has been raining here in Northeast Ohio for the last 2 days. I don't think the lawn will ever dry out.

Okay, now it is time for you to head over to Crafting With An Attitude to check out the inpiration projects by my team and enter your creations.

You have until 8pm Sunday March 28th to enter. Limit of 3 projects per person.

Have a great day of crafting!

Hugs,
Terri
