Shirt Card

Ann is our hostess at the Sisterhood of Crafters this week and your challenge is to create a project using buttons. I found a project on Pinterest called "Shirt & Tie" card and decided to give it a try. I did change the measurements, created a faux pocket and used buttons down the front.
(Front)

I started with a base of SU's River Rock card stock then adhered the shirt. The shirt was created with a sheet of designer paper I have had in my stash forever. I don't know what company the paper is from, but I purchased it from Joann's Craft Store.

Once I had the shirt adhered to the card base, I glued on the buttons and added the faux pocket.

Last I stamped the sentiment with Fun Stampers Journey Green Olive ink onto the insert.

I think I will give this to my husband for his birthday and add a gift card from our local bookstore.

I am very pleased with the way this card turned out and plan to make more to sell at craft shows this fall. Wouldn't this be cute in plaid? I might even try to make  one that looks like a shirt with a sweater.

I have entered this project into the following challenges:
        Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Now if you want more inspiration, just head on over to the Sisterhood to see the marvelous projects by my sistah's.

You have until 8pm, Sunday July 9th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time...

Hugs,
Terri

Dance Queen

There is a new challenge beginning today at Crafting With An Attitude. For my project I chose a set of images from Beccy's Place called "Dance Queen".

No automatic alt text available.
The background panel was created with Ken Olivers Color Burst powders. Then this was adhered to a piece of black card stock then mounted onto a base of white. The image was colored with Spectrum Noire colored pencils. I then adhered the image panel to a strip of black card stock. I fussy cut around the sentiment, then adhered to black card stock and fussy cut the mat. It is hard to tell from the picture that the ribbon is silver.

If you would love to see some inspiration projects by my design team, head on over to the Crafting With An Attitude Challenge Blog. You have until 7pm Sunday, June 25th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Hope to see you there.
