I See Spots

Today begins a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters and I am so excited to be the hostess. The theme of this challenge is "I See Spots". Create a project with dots as your focus.

I found this pretty design paper by DCWV in my stash and loved the bright dots.
After adhering the dot designer paper to my card base, I cut a strip of blue to make a mat, then added the bright yellow satin ribbon. Using my large oval Nestibilities and Cut 'n Boss machine, I created the scalloped frame from yellow with white dot designer paper. Next I stamped my image by Just For Fun stamps on white card stock and used my large oval Nestibility die cut the panel. The sentiment panel and frame were created with my SU 1 1/2" scallop circle punch and SU 1 1/4" circle punch.

These panels were adhered to the front of the card using pop dots for dimension. The image and sentiment were stamped with Fun Stampers Journey "Dark Roast" in.

Now it's your turn to share your creations. Head on over to the Sisterhood for more inspiration projects from my sistahs. You have until 8pm, Sunday November 5th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Love & Wishes

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day. A new challenge begins today at the Sisterhood of Crafters with Diane as our hostess. Since October is National Breast Cancer month, Diane would like you to create a project around the "Pink Think" theme.

In 1987, I lost a sister to pancreatic cancer. My mom passed away in 2001 with hypertension complications caused by thyroid cancer and my oldest sister passed away in 2011 from lung cancer. Working on this project brought back a lot of memories.

For my project I created a card using paper and decoupage sheets from Hundydory pack that I got a while back with a cardmaking magazine.

I added the background paper to a white card stock base. I added a strip of pink satin ribbon, then used pop dots to raise the circle panel for dimension. Next I added the strip of 3 flowers and last the large flower in the center. After adding the butterfly, I added clear gems to 3 of the little flowers around the circle for contrast. The bow of pink satin was added using a glue dot and the sentiment panel was raised with pop dots.

Now it's your turn to share your project. Head on over to the Sisterhood for more inspiration from my sistah's and enter your creation. You have until 8pm, Sunday October 22nd to enter. Limit of 3 entries.

Hugs,
Terri

Fall Thanks

The theme for the new challenge at the Crafting With An Attitude is "Thankful". What are you thankful for? I love the fall colors and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. For my project I chose my Darice Autumn Text embossing folder and embossed a sheet of kraft paper.
Then I sponged Walnut Stain Distress ink over the embossed image using a sponge applicator. While the ink dried, I adhered a sheet of yellow with white dots designer paper to the front of my base card, then added the embossed panel. The yellow sunflower from Mikie's Favor Embellishments was applied with a glue dot. Using sticky strip I added a strip of ivory lace and wrapped a piece of burgundy/ivory checked ribbon over the top, then tied a bow with the same ribbon and used a glue dot to adhere to the card.

The embossed text brings back memories of getting together with family and giving thanks for all the blessings we received during the year. Now that my daughters have families of their own, my husband and I enjoy a quiet Thanksgiving meal at home and relax watching football and Christmas movies.

Why not hop on over to the Crafting With An Attitude challenge blog and take a look at the wonderful inspiration projects my team have created?

You have until 7pm Sunday October 22nd to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Wishing you many blessings of the season.

Let's Party!

Hello everyone! A new challenge begins today at the Stinkin' Inkers. This month's theme is "Monster Mash". Create a projects with monsters as your focus. For example: aliens, superheroes, witches, mummies, goblins, etc.

For my project, I chose this sweet monster image called "Monster Party" by Pink Gem Designs.
I started with a base of gray card stock. Next, using my bare branch die from Memory Box, I cut three trees and adhered them to the base. The monsters were colored with my Spectrum Noire pencils. Then I fussy cut around the image and adhered with pop dots for dimension. I added red/white twine for the balloon and added a bow.

Looks like these little guys might do a little trick or treating on their way to the party. Be sure to give them a treat if you pass by them on Halloween.

Why not join in the fun? Stop by the Stinkin' Inkers challenge blog for more adorable inspiration projects from my design team and enter your own creation.
You have until 7pm, Friday October 27th to enter. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Happy Crafting!
