Saturday, I went shopping at a local book store and picked up the latest copy of one of the UK's cardmaking magazines. Included was an embossing folder and stamp set that I used to create these cards.
I love this embossing so much that I didn't want to overwhelm it with too many embellishments. The flowers were stamped with black India ink onto white card stock, then colored with my Stampin' Up markers. Next, I used SU's Crystal Effects to give the flowers a nice glossy shine, cut out with scissors and adhered to the large embossed flower with dimensionals. Pink and blue pearls were added to the center of the other embossed flowers and tied with blue and pink satin ribbon.
These were such easy and quick cards, I plan to do more for my craft show stash. I think I may try a few without the cut out flower and just add the pearls.
I am so happy with the finished product. As many of you know, I mostly do clean and simple cards for mailing, but occasionally add more elegant details to my challenge projects.
Thanks for checking into today. Looks like spring weather is on it's way here in Northeast Ohio (even though they are predicting 30's at the end of the week).
Have a beautiful day! Don't forget to stop by the Sisterhood tomorrow for a new challenge hosted by Diane.
Terri
