Wow! Time for another challenge at the Sisterhood. Our hostess for this week is Diane challenging us to "Come Fly With Me". Use anything that flies as your focal point (airplane, insect, bird, etc.). I found this beautiful photo of hot air balloons on Pinterest and decided it would be perfect for this challenge. A list of materials used can be found below the picture.
Materials:
Cardstock: SU Ballet Blue, Black, White
Ribbon: Darice So Trendy black and white organdy
Embossing Folder: Darice Curls
Punches: SU 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" scalloped circles
I love to watch the launching of hot air balloons, but have never been tempted to ride in one. I have a terrible fear of heights and the thought of being in an open air basket is too scary for me. I'll take an airplane any day.
Okay, put on those thinking caps and start creating. Don't forget to stop by the Sisterhood for some fantastic inspiration by the sistahs.
Have a wonderful day and Happy Crafting!
Terri
Well I am right there with ya! Hot air balloons are super and fun watching them from the ground. But I don't have the guts to ever ride in one. That would freak me out!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors in this card. Perfect card for our challenge!

Beautiful card Terri! You know I also have a huge fear of heights ... can't even go up the steps without holding onto the railing. But several years ago when Mark & I were in Disney we decided to do the Hot Air Balloon ride over Cinderella's Castle and it was AWESOME!!! The landing was 'rough' to say the least but it was a wonderful experience and glad I got up the nerve to do it!
ReplyDeleteLovely bright and cheerful card Terri, love it!
