My friend, Judy, just found out recently that both of her daughters are expecting babies about the same time in May. This will be here daughter Jen's first baby and Chrissy's second baby. I found some adorable animal baby clip art images on Pinterest, and new they would be perfect for baby cards.
Starting with a piece of neon green card stock, I rounded the bottom corners and added a layer of designer paper by Paper Boutique. Next using two of my Nestibilities scalloped circle dies, I cut a mat from neon green and white. The tiger clip art was fussy cut and adhered to the white mat, then to the green mat. The banner is a 3/4" by 4" strip of white card stock with a "v" cut in the ends.
The sentiment is from Stampin' Ups "Express Yourself" stamp set.
Looks like I'd better working on lots of baby cards for family, friends and craft shows. So far I know of three babies that are due in Spring.
So glad you could stop by and visit with me today. Please stop buy again soon.
Hugs,
Terri

Christmas Gift Card Holders
Can you believe Christmas is only 2 1/2 months away? Time to get busy on those much needed gift card holders. I wanted to share a couple samples of the holders I have been working on. I can get three out of one sheet of 8 1/2" by 11" card stock and they go together so quickly. You can find the tutorial here.
I used black card stock for the base and the designer paper is from the Lewis Family Vacation pad by Paper Studio. The sentiments are chip board die cut that came with a card making magazine. The holiday stickers were found in a dollar bin at a local craft store. I used my 1 1/4" circle punch and my 1 3/4" scalloped circle punch for the tag. Velcro dots will be applied to keep the flap closed.
I usually cut a few of these out at a time and then I can work on decorating them while watching TV with my husband when he gets home from work.
So, now it is back to my craft room to work finish more of these for my craft show on Saturday. Have a beautiful day.
Hugs,
Terri

From Our Patch to Yours
Diane is the hostess for our new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters. To honor the arrival of Fall, Diane would like us to create a project using pumpkins as the focus. Since this is my favorite time of year, I was able to put this card together quickly.
I found all of the images on Pinterest, printed them from my computer, cut them out and pieced them together to make this cute scene for my card. The clouds were cut using my Darice Nested Rectangle dies and adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals.
The background designer papers are from DCWV. I typed the sentiment on my computer, then layered it onto the blue DCWV designer paper. The light moss satin ribbon is from the Darice Basic Expressions line.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge - Fall Has Arrived
Creative Card Crew - Fall
Deep Ocean Challenge - Autumn
Through The Craft Room Door - Always Anything Goes
Aren't the Fall colors beautiful? My husband and I are hoping to get a day off to go out for a ride and get some pictures of the gorgeous trees before the snow comes. Last year the cold and snow came so early, we didn't have a chance to really enjoy the season. Of course, it didn't help that he had a broken foot and was laid up for about 6 weeks.
Now it is your turn to share your creations. Head on over to the Sisterhood for more inspiration from my sisters and enter your project. You have until 8pm Sunday, October 4th to enter.
Have a beautiful day everyone,
Hugs,
Terri

Nature's Bouquet
My project for today is one of the cards I designed to teach at the Methodist Women's Retreat this Saturday. The theme for the retreat is centered around nature. I found this flower bouquet digi and thought the ladies would like to decide on the colors to use on their flowers.
I cut panels from three different colors of dotted designer paper by DCWV and black mats. The image was colored with colored pencils. The ladies will also have a choice of ribbon to use on their finished project. I chose this beautiful red organdy ribbon to finish my card. I love how it sparkles.
Now I just have to punch or use my cameo to cut out the butterflies for the other card we will be making. I am really excited about teaching at this retreat. I love sharing my passion of paper crafting with others.
I hope you have enjoyed my project for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Terri

Baby Boy Card
Hello everyone. I had such a wonderful weekend. Light rain overnight Friday and part of the day Saturday with temperatures in the 70's. On Sunday after the morning worship service at my church, we had a Fall Festival. I was so happy that my daughter, granddaughter and husband could be there. The church provided hot dogs, sno-cones, popcorn, chips, games and a petting zoo. My 3 year old granddaughter was so excited to get a pony ride on a shetland pony. The weather was perfect - lots of sun and 70 degrees.
After church (and a short nap), I finished cutting the pieces for two cards that I will be teaching at the Methodist Women's Retreat this coming Saturday. Also had time to work on this baby card.
I have had this paper from Paper Boutique for quite awhile. I found it when moving my craft room around. I also have a pad of baby girl paper by the same company. Guess I'd better get busy making some much needed baby cards for my next craft show. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's "Itty Bitty Banner" stamp set. I found the image on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect with this sports themed paper. It is hard to tell from the picture, but I fussy cut around the image and used pop dots to give him dimension. To finish the project, I added a blue gingham bow.
Well, that's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Terri

Foiled Rose Birthday
My hubby finally got over his stomach virus by Wednesday, so we decided to make a trip to a favorite local bookstore. I purchased a British Papercraft Magazine that included some lovely papers and toppers called "Vintage Garden Party". It is hard to really see the shine of the foil in my photo, but hopefully, you will get an idea of how gorgeous these papers are.
I used just a hint of white card stock to separate the card panels and used white organdy ribbon to make everything balanced. Pop dots were used to give the tag some dimension. This pack also had cake and cupcake toppers with cupcake and banner papers. Will definitely have to do more of these over the weekend.
With the temperatures in the mid to upper 80's this will be a great weekend to stay in the air conditioning and craft. (Of course, there is always a lot of cleaning to get done.)
That's it for today. Hope you stop by again soon.
Hugs,
Terri

Nature's Pleasure
On Saturday, September 26th I will be teaching a card class at a Methodist Church Women's Retreat that will be held at a local nature center. Along with two cards that I have planned, the ladies asked if they could also make a bookmark during this 45 minute session. Here is what I have created.
The sentiment, butterfly and flower images were found on Pinterest. Once I found the images, I copied them into Publisher to resize them and decide on the layout. I used Sargent colored pencils to color the images.
I hope the ladies will be pleased with my efforts. The ladies will be able to color the image on one of the cards and the bookmark as they choose. All of the pieces for the cards will be precut and I will take them step by step in creating their projects. I know we have at least 24 attendees so far and they are hoping for at least 30-35 participants.
I am so glad you stopped by to visit with me today. Please stop by again soon.
Hugs,
Terri

Sweet Baby
My husband began a week of vacation yesterday and wouldn't you know he came down with a stomach virus. Thankfully he is feeling much better today. Because he was in bed most of the day yesterday, I didn't get much time in my craft room. I did get this one card done.
Using white card stock and Recollections designer paper, I created the base card and mats. The onesie is from Stampin' Up's "Something for Baby" stamp set and the sentiment is from SU's "Itty Bitty Banners" set. The image and sentiment were stamped with SU's "Pretty in Pink" ink pad. The bow is 3/4" white organdy ribbon.
Well, time to go check on my hubby and see if he can eat anything. Have a great day and Happy Crafting!
Hugs,
Terri

First Show of the Season
This past Saturday was the beginning of the Craft Shows for me. It was at a little church in Louisville, Ohio about 20 minutes from my house. The temperature was in the 60's with rain, so traffic was a little slow, but all in all I thought I did pretty well. After deducting the cost of my space, breakfast and lunch I had a profit of about $50. My items were priced at $5.00 or less.
The biggest sellers were Post-It-Note holders, Notepad with Pencil and Minion Pixie Stix holders. Will have to make more of each of these. Also need to make Christmas gift card holders and money holders.
I had another vendor approach me about doing a craft show at her church in the spring and a customer took one of my business cards and said she would contact me about doing a program for the ladies of her church.
Most of the crafts were knitted items, fleece items, homemade candles, floral arrangements, etc. I think I was the only paper crafter. The crafters filled the halls of the upstairs, downstairs and fellowship hall. (Over 30 booths).
My next craft show will be Saturday, October 3rd at a church in downtown Louisville, Ohio. Hopefully, we will have more traffic. Time to get out the Craft Show booklet and see what other shows I can enter this Holiday season.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
Hugs,

Celebrate and Go Shopping
I think this is probably my favorite card from the "Forever Friend" card kit. The color combination and bow are so pretty.
I used my Prismacolor watercolor pencils to color the purse and background. The striped paper was adhered to light brown card stock. Then the larger purple tag was adhered to the strlped panel. Next I used pop dots to raise the second small purple tag at angle over the large tag. The image was stamped on to the white tag and colored with Prisma watercolor pencils. This panel was also raised over the purple tags using dimensionals. The twine was wrapped around the bow then threaded through the hole on the image panel and tied into a know. Last of all, I added three clear gems.
I hope you have enjoyed viewing my projects from the past few days. If you like these images, you can check out all that is offered in the catalog at Fun Stampers Journey.
Please stop by and visit again soon.

Thanks For Being By My Side
Here is card number three using the "Forever Friend" stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey". In my teen years, I carried a purse similar to the one used on this card.
The purse was stamped onto the large banner panel and colored with my Spectrum Noire markers.. Then I adhered the orange chevron paper to the yellow card stock base and added the banner on top. I used my tape runner to glue the two feathers together, then wrapped the twine around them and tied it into a bow. Next, I clipped the clothespin to the feathers and adhered to the card with red line tape.
It has been so much fun playing with all of these different shapes and embellishments. These cards go from simpel to beautiful with just the addition of the right embellishment. I never would have thought to use feathers or a clothespin for this layout. These kits are definitely giving me a new view point for cards. This is just what I needed to get me thinking outside the box.
Thanks for visiting with me today. I have one more card to share with you tomorrow.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Terri

A Day on the Lake
It's time for another challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters and this week, Lisa is our hostess. The challenge is to create a project using the picture below as your inspiration. I always have a hard time with this type of challenge, but I put on my thinking cap and here is my creation.
All of the designer papers are by DCWV and the stamps are from Stampscapes. The images were stamped and colored with Marvy Matchables Dye inks. The leaves and acorns are some embellishments I have had for years. Brown satin ribbon ties everything together.
I love the Stampscapes stamps, just don't get them out very often. Stamping the images is the easy part. It's the coloring that I is hard for me. One of these days when I have some extra time, I will have to get out my box of stamps and inks and play.
Now why not head on over to the Sisterhood for more inspiration from my 'sistahs' and join in on the fun. You have until 8pm, Sunday, September 20th to enter.
Please stop by again soon.

Enjoy the Journey
I'm back with the second of four cards made with my Fun Stampers Journey card kit. This time I chose the backpack stamp with this beautiful set of precut papers and embellishments.
First I used a yellow marker to color one of my clear blocks. Then I spritzed with water and stamped onto the white circle. Next I stamped the sentiment onto the circle. After stamping the backpack onto an extra sheet of white card stock and used the clear block and yellow marker to stamp over the top. Once that was done, I adhered the striped panel to a white card stock base. The pierced lilac panel was adhered to the darker purple "x" panel. Twine was wrapped around this panel twice and tied into a bow. I used red line tape to adhere the clothespin to the circle after clipping it to the twine. Pop dots were used to add dimension to the chevron strips. Last I added these beautiful purple candy dots to the circle.
Isn't this a beautiful color combination? I have two more cards to share with you this week, so be sure to stop by again.
Have a beautiful relaxing day and Happy Crafting!
Hugs,
Terri

Forever Friend
Sorry for the late post today. It has been a very busy 4 day weekend. My husband I have been switching my craft room and bedroom around. My friend, Judy, has been helping me sort and put things away. Still have a lot to sort through and put away, but thank goodness all of the heavy furniture has been moved and put into place. Once I have everything organized, I will share pictures of my craft room.
Over the weekend I received my newest card kit from Fun Stampers Journey. The set is called "Forever Friend". They have such lucious colors and fun stamp sets. I could hardly wait to get my room set up enough that I could play with it, so I took a little time off from sorting and organizing to put the cards together.
Today I want to share the first card with you. I adhered the orange panel to the white card stock base. Next, I stamped the sentiment onto the oval panel and then threaded the yellow ribbon around the panel, through the holes on the brown label and tied into a bow on the right side. The purse was stamped onto a white card stock rectangle and fussy cut. I used pop dots to give the purse some dimension. The orange petals were stacked a clear gem was added for the center.
I love these kits. There are enough pieces and embellishments to make four cards. Each card is placed into its own bag along with the pieces and embellishments to finish that card. You also receive the stamp set. All you need to complete the kit is stamp pad and adhesive. The cards go together so quickly.
Well, time for me to get back to work sorting and putting materials away. Stop by tomorrow for another card from this kit.
Hugs,
Terri

Sunflower Smoochie
Today we begin Challenge 7 at Crafting With An Attitude. Our sponsor for this month is Lemon Shortbread and the prize is 3 images. Before I share my project with you, I have some sad news to share. The owner of the Crafting With An Attitude challenge blog, Erin Bentley has to step down for family reasons. The Design Team will miss her, but we hope everything will work out for her family and she will be back soon. We wish her all the best.
I have agreed to become the new owner of the challenge blog. This is a new venture for me and I will try my best to do a good job. My plans are to keep everything set up the same way as Erin. The Design Team are giving me lots of support and I can't put into words how much I appreciate all of them.
Okay, now that's out of the way, here is my project for this challenge.
I think this image shows how the weather is here in Northeast Ohio. The sunflowers are in full bloom, temps in the high 80's and low 90's with lots of humidity. It doesn't look like a change in the forecast for at least a week.
DCWV designer papers were used for the background and the mats. The image is called "Sunflower Smoochie" by Lemon Shortbread Designs. She was colored with Prisma color pencils and gamsol. The flowers, butterfly and fence are stickers I found in my stash. The grass and vines are die cuts and were adhered with glue dots around the fence for dimension. I love the white ribbon embroidered with flowers. I think it is perfect for the finishing touch.
Check out the inspiration by my Team members, then get busy on your creation to share with us. Remember, this is an Anything Goes challenge.
Hope you have a beautiful relaxing day.
Hugs from Ohio,
Terri

Cowgirl Jessie Honey
Hello everyone! Today begins our 2nd monthly challenge at The Crafty Addicts Challenge blog. This time our sponsors are Di's Digi Stamps and Sassy Studios. I chose to use "Cowgirl Jessie Honey" as my focus.
I wanted her to have a more modern look, so I used my grey, red and black prisma color pencils and gamsol for her outfit. Her hat, boots, gloves and hair were colored with red, maize and brown prisma color pencils. The hat and sign are clip art pieces found on Pinterest.
For the mats and background, I used DCWV designer paper and a light brown card stock. Gold ribbon and gold candy dots finish off my project.
Both of our sponsors have fabulous images to work with. Now why not head on over to the Crafty Addicts blog and check out the wonderful inspiration projects by our team members? We would love to have you join us. Remember this is a month long challenge, so you have plenty of time to enter.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderul day!

One For The Money
Wasn't able to spend a lot of time crafting yesterday. My hubby was off and we had to go grocery shopping, then fix our back yard fence before our german shepherd/lab mix could get out again. Thankfully, I was in the front yard when I saw her come out from behind the bushes and kept her from running out into the street. She is usually pretty good about staying in the yard, but if someone walks down the street she gives chase.
So I have a quick project to share with you today. Some of my craft show customers have asked about money holders, so I got out all my materials and came up with a fairly simple pattern. Of course, I didn't think about making a template first, so when I have one finished it I will share it with you
I started with a piece of Recollections Aqua card stock 8 1/2" x 11" and cut in half at 4 1/4". You will get two wallets from one piece of card stock. Then I scored on the 11" side at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4". Then turned and scored the 4 1/4" side at 1 1/2".
Next you will need to cut the 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" tab off to make the flap for closing. Cut 2 strips of designer paper 2 3/4" x 4" to cover the back panels of the wallet. Cut one 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" strip of designer paper for the flap and 2 strips of designer paper 1 1/4" x 4" for the inside panels. Use red line tape to adhere ends of pocket to back of wallet. (Just one piece at each end of the pocket.)
I had these cute flower stickers that matched my paper perfectly. The flower sticker was adhered to a pansy petal punched with my SU punch and used a dimentional dot adhere to the wallet flap. A velcro dot holds the flap closed.
That's all there is to it. Will work on getting a template made today and try to have it posted tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day everyone.
Hugs,
Terri

Hugs,
Terri
