Sunflower Treat Holder

On September 8th, I will be hostess for our stamp group meeting. I thought sunflowers would be the perfect theme for this event. I found the tutorial for these cute treat holders here. I think I will put packs of sunflower seeds inside. I love sunflower seeds on salad or as a quick snack.

The base was cut from Recollections Cream card stock and the designer paper is by DCWV. Next, I used my 1 1/4" circle punch for the cream centers and one of my SU flower punches for the brown petals. The sunflower centers are stickers by Darice. Using my 1/8" hole punch I punched two holes through the top flap, front panel and back panel, then threaded 1/8" gingham ribbon through the holes and tied in a bow.

Now that these are completed, I want to make containers for candy and maybe a post-it-note holder for each of the ladies. I also have plans to make a sunflower floral arrangement for the main table. We will be having our meeting at a local Pizza Hut and I want to make the party room a little more inviting.

I have so many ideas and so little time to get everything done. Still working on items for craft shows coming up, plus a church women's retreat and a journal making class. Thankfully, my daughter will be off work from Friday through next Monday for Labor Day. I plan on spending most of my time in my work room.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me. Don't forget, you still have time to enter a project in the Sisterhood challenge

Off to enjoy a little bit of sun on this beautiful 80 degree day here in Northeast Ohio.

Hugs,
Terri
