Well, didn't get much done on my break last week. My husband had me helping him most of the time and then I had to help my younger daughter practice for her driving test. Thank goodness she passed and that will free up some of my time. No more taking her to the grocery store or running errands for her.
Along with working on projects for upcoming challenges, I have also been working on some note card sets. I have 5 sets done so far, but I know I will need a lot more. For this set of cards, I used DCWV designer paper, white card stock and my Stampin' Up "Warmest Regards" stamp set. The flower die is from Memory Box.
The profit from the sales of these note card sets will be donated to a local non-profit organization her in Alliance, Ohio called Anchor House. They are trying to purchase a closed nursing home to renovate for the use of a homeless men's shelter. If they can purchase the property there would be enough room for 100 beds. Anchor House also runs a second hand shop and prepares meals for the homeless.
This organization is run by volunteers, who sort clothing, price items for sale and serve meals. One of my nieces is a volunteer and I have asked her for a list of items that they can use. Like most homeless organizations they can always use toiletries and clothes. My niece informed me that there are over 100 homeless people in our city of around 23,000.
I know I can't do much, but I will do what I can to help this wonderful organization.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Have a great day.
Hugs,
Terri
