Shine Bright

Once again it is my turn to host the challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters. The theme for this challenge is:
"Die-namic"
There are so many beautiful dies out there, so I would like to see how you use your dies to create a fabulous project.
I just received a stamp and die set from Stamps of Life and decided to use them to create a masculine card. This set is called "Lighthouse 2 Stamp" and can be found here.
I started with a piece of white card stock and added the blue print after tearing the edge.
Next I stamped the image and sentiment with Momento Tuxedo black ink and colored the image with markers. I used the matching die to cut out the light house and added it to the front of the card with pop dots. Next I matted the sentiment onto a piece of the blue paper and adhered it with pop dots also. Last I stamped the birds onto the card and added blue and white striped twine.
Now I hope you will stop by the Sisterhood and check out the beautiful inspiration projects by the sistahs. Then enter your project for a chance to be our next Top Winner.
You have until 7pm Sunday  September 1st to enter. Remember there is a limit of 3 entries per person,
Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Candle

Hello everyone! The theme for the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge today is:
"Birthday"
For my project, I chose to make a card using one of Stampin' Up's Paper Pumpkin kits.

I love the colors and designs on the cardstock and and how the sentiment panel slides out by pulling on the tab at the bottom to reveal "Birthday". The flame has glitter for a special effect.
I have quite a few birthdays coming up in the next few months. Now I just have to decide who will get this cute interactive card.

Head on over to the Sisterhood of Crafters to join in fun. The sistah's have some beautiful inspiration projects to share with you.

Have a great day!

Happy Heart

Darlene is the hostess for our new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters. The challenge theme is:
"Any Occasion"
For my project, I made this cute card holder from a Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin' Up. Although this kit was originally put out for Valentines Day, I thought it could be used for other occasions like birthday, thinking of you, etc.
The holder opens by untying the bow and folding back the left side. This could be used for a gift card, money or small gift. A quick and easy project.

I hope you will hop over to the Sisterhood and join in on the fun.

Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Note Card

Hello everyone! I am so excited to host the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters that begins today.

Now that warmer weather is finally here and the sun is shining, I can sit outside an enjoy nature. So many beautiful birds and butterflies in our yard. Love watching them flit among the flowers.

For my project I made a note card featuring the Serene Garden stamp set from Stampin' Up.

The base card is white and I added a black mat. The image was stamped with black ink onto a piece of white card stock and colored pencils were used to color the image. After stamping the sentiment in black ink, I added this cute corrigated butterfly and attached the panel to the black mat using pop dots.

I will be teaching the ladies of our church how to create this card in one of our meetings this month along with a short devotion and a report on the "History of Card Making".

Why not head on over to the Sisterhood, check out the sistah's inspiration projects and join the challenge? We would love to see your projects.

Thanks for stopping by.

Aqua Beauties

A new challenge begins today at the Sisterhood of Crafters and Diane is our hostess. The theme for this challenge is:
"Flowers"
The base card is white, then I added the dotted designer paper. Next I die cut
the swirled frame from ivory card stock and added the paper flowers and butterflies. This card could be used in many ways, so I haven't added a sentiment yet. It would be perfect for a birthday or anniversary.

Now it's time to head over to the Sisterhood to check out the inspiration projects by my sistahs and enter you creations for a chance to become our top winner.

Hugs,
Terri

Grad Gift

There is a new challenge beginning today at Stinkin' Inkers and the theme is:
"All Tied Up"
My project is a gift card holder for a new graduate. I know a few kids who are graduating this year and thankfully I have a few of these card holders ready to go.
I purchased some Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kits from my upline and this was one of the kits I chose. The colors are perfect for a boy or a girl and can be used for a high school or college graduation party. With everything precut and scored, this made for a quick project.

I will have to write down the measurements for the holder and belly band just in case I want to make more for future use. This would make a great gift card holder for baby, wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc. just by changing the paper and tag.

Please stop by the Stinkin' Inkers and check out my design team's gorgeous projects. Then why not enter your own creations?

Until next time,
Hugs from Ohio,
Terri

Furr-ever Friends

Hello everyone! Today begins a new challenge at Crafting With An Attitude.
I chose this sweet image called "Cat Lady Kaylee" from Odd Girl Stamps as the focus for my card. You can find the image here.

The base was created using a yellow textured card stock. I added the yellow flower patterned paper for the background, then cut a 4 1/4" square from yellow with white dots designer paper and cut that in half diagonally to create the corner piece. After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils, I used a piece  lime green card stock to create the mat for the image panel and adhered that to the front of the card. Using black ink I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock, added a lime green mat and adhered to the card with foam tape. The little paw prints on the left side are buttons that I have had in my stash for quite awhile and were added using glue dots.

I colored one of the kittens gray to resemble my tiger tabby cat "Plum". He was trying to help me out with my post, unfortunately his feet hit too many keys on the computer and I had to take over.

Hope you enjoyed my project for today. Now why not head on over to the Crafting With An Attitude challenge and check out the inspiration projects by my design team? We would love to have you join in on the fun.

Hugs,
Terri

Bunny Delivery

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to be the hostess for the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Crafters beginning today. Now that spring has finally arrived and Easter is just around the corner I have chosen the theme:
"Chicks 'n Bunnies"
My project for this challenge is an Easter basket for my husband to satisfy his sweet tooth.
The basket was created using a 12" x 12" sheet of yellow textured card stock.
First I scored at 4" and 8" inches on one side, then turned the card stock and scored again at 4" and 8" inches. Cut two opposite sides on the scored 4" and 8" score lines down to the 4" score line for the basket bottom to create the flaps. Use red line tape to put the basket together. The band is created with 2  1 3/4" strips of patterned card stock wrapped around the basket and adhered with red line tape. The handle of the basket is a strip of 1 1/2" yellow card stock with a 1 1/4" strip of pattern paper and adhered 1" below rim of basket on each side.

To create the bunny, I punched a 2 1/2" scallop circle and a 2" scallop circle for the body. The ears were punched from white card stock using a  1 3/4" oval punch and pink card stock using a 1 1/4" oval punch. The whiskers were fussy cut to about 1/8" wide by 2". A small heart punch and pink card stock were used to make the nose and the eyes are 3/4" circles punched from black paper.
The white in the eyes were made by placing the scallops from a 1 3/4" scalloped circle halfway into the 1/4" whole punch.

The bunny was adhered to the basket using a strip of foam tape.

Stop by the Sisterhood and check out the beautiful inspiration projects by my sistah's, then join in the fun.

Have a wonderful day!

Tag It!

The Stinkin' Inkers challenge for this month is all about tags. You may create a tag to put on a package or create a tag to add to your card or other project.

I decided to create a single tag for my inspiration project using one of Julie Nuttings Prima paper dolls.
The image was stamped onto white card stock, colored with Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut. Next I stamped the image onto a piece of red and white printed designer paper and fussy cut the dress to add to the image. This was then added to the tag with pop dots. The sentiment was stamped in black ink onto the tag. Last I added the pink and white paper flowers, butterfly and red/black fibers.

I hope you will join us in this fun challenge. Stop by Stinkin' Inkers and check out the other inspiration projects by my design team and then enter your creations.

Wishing you a blessed day.

In the Red

Hello everyone! Today it is my turn to host the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge. Unfortunately, my husband broke his kneecap into 3 pieces so I have been spending a lot of time between the hospital, Community Care and home. The good news is that after a month, he will finally be coming home tomorrow. He still has a lot of therapy ahead of him, but at least he will be home.

I want to thank Darlene for writing the post for the challenge this month. She stepped in helped to get me caught up.

Now for my project.
The image is from Lemon Shortbread and is called "Christmas Package". I thought it would make a nice birthday card for winter.  Doesn't she look cute all dressed up in her warm coat and hat? The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, the green designer paper is by DCWV and the Flower designer paper is from a Recollections paper pad. The paper flowers were purchased at Michaels. I used Memories Black ink to stamp the sentiment punched it out with my Fancy Label punch.

I hope you will hop over to the Sisterhood and check out the inspiration projects by other team members and then enter for your chance to be our next Winner.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Hello again! A new challenge begins today at Crafting With An Attitude.

For my project I chose this beautiful image called "Cameo 18" by Morgan's Artworld who is our sponsor this month. The challenges are always "Anything Goes" and this is a month long challenge.
The front of the base card was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called "Heather's Lace" purchased at Joann's Craft Store. After coloring the image and fussy cutting, I added a white doily to the card front and then used pop dots to add dimension to the image. The paper flowers were purchased at Michaels and adhered with glue dots. Last I used Stampin' Up's "Perfect Plum" ink to stamp the sentiment onto white card stock and punched it out with my EK Success lable punch.

Stop by Crafting With An Attitude and check out the design teams gorgeous inspiration projects and then join in on the fun. You could be our next winner.

You're the Best

Today I have a project to share with you that was created for the challenge at LeAnn's World 101.

Since Valentine's Day is just a couple of weeks away, I chose this sweet image of this sweet couple celebrating their love. The image is called Cody and Manda Love and can be found here.
I started with a base card of light pink and added a layer of geometric designer paper with blue, pink and yellow shapes. After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils, I added a mat of light lavender and adhered it to the front of the card. Next I stamped the sentiment with Fun Stamper Journey "Grape Fusion" ink onto a strip of white card stock and added a mat of light lavender. The edges of this panel were run across the purple ink pad for contrast. Last I added the violet purple satin ribbon tied in a knot.

I have entered this project in the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - Love or St. Valentines Day

Snow Much Fun

The snow has finally decided to fall here in Northeast Ohio. From around 10 am yesterday morning until sometime early this morning we received 8-10 inches of snow with a temperature of 18 degrees and a windchill of minus 1. Time to get out those snow shovels and tunnel our way out.

For my inspiration project at LeAnn's World 101, I chose this sweet image of Holly and her snowman that you can find here.
The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and adhered to a black mat. A piece of Anna Griffin foiled card designer card stock was layered onto a white card stock base and then the image panel was added. The sentiment was stamped with Momento black ink onto a strip of white card stock and mounted onto a strip of black card stock. Pop dots were used to give the sentiment panel some dimension.

There is still time to enter the challenge at LeAnn's World 101. Stop by and check out the inspiration projects. You could be our next winner.

Hugs,
Terri

Vintage Skaters

Hello everyone! The Sisterhood of Crafters begins a new year of challenges today and the theme is "Make It Sparkle."

I found this beautiful picture of vintage skaters on Pinterest to use as my focus.
I started with a base card of light blue. I printed the image twice. Using a clear glue, I added diamond dust to the pond for sparkling ice. (The diamond dust doesn't show up very well in the photo, but in person it is beautiful. Makes it look like shimmering ice.)Next I fussy cut around the couple and used pop dots to add to the image panel. Red line tape was used to add lace around the black mat as a frame and the image panel was glued to the mat. Red line tape was used to adhere the mat to the card front.

If you would like to take part in a fun challenge, head on over to the Sisterhood, check out the sistah's inspiration projects and enter your creation. Limit of 3 entries per person.

Hope to see you there.

Sledding

Hello and Happy New Year! I am so excited to begin a new year of challenges at the Crafting With An Attitude challenge blog.

For this month's challenge, I chose this sweet image called "Reggie's Winter Sled Fun" by our sponsor Color of Love formerly known as Lacy Sunshine.
Image was colored with Prismacolor pencils. DCWV designer paper was layered onto a tan card base and then I added a piece of brown card stock on the bottom. After placing the image panel to the left, I added the large pearls. Last I added a piece of green grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot and the sentiment adhered with pop dots for dimension.

Come and join the fun at Crafting With An Attitude. You could be out next winner of 3 digi images. The design team has been busy creating gorgeous inspiration projects.

Happy New Year.
Terri

Ice Skating

LeAnn's World 101 begins a new year of challenges today. For my first project of the new year I chose this sweet image of Eric found here.
The card base is light blue, then a black panel was adhered on top. After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils I adhered it to the black panel. I found the blue metalic flowers in my stash and thought they would make great snowflakes. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white card stock then layered onto a strip of black. I added black grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot and adhered the panel with pop dots.

I hope you will head on over to LeAnn's World 101, check out the team's inspiration projects and join in the fun.

Hugs from Ohio,
Terri
